Hi,
We are currently running WebSphere MQ Workflow Version 3.6.0 and as a part of MQ migration we are installing latest service pack to the WF following the documentation from IBM
http://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?rs=795&context=SSVLA5&dc=DA400&uid=swg27011598&loc=en_US&cs=UTF-8&lang=en&rss=ct795websphere
I would like to know if the the utility fmczqmig does support v 7?,
the pdf says that it is used to update the QM objects but only v 6 is mentioned over there...

During this procedure you must use the tool fmczqmig to update several queue manager objects. This tool has been changed to allow you to update the migrated queue manager. The new version of fmczqmig is attached to the TechDoc and requires Service Pack 6. It will be part of later Service Packs. Therefore, if you have not already installed MQ Workflow Service Pack 6, you must install it as described in the product documentation, and then replace the file MQ Workflow installation dir/bin/fmczqmig with the version that is attached to this TechDoc. |
I was not able to find much info about this tool online. Has anyone used this tool to update the WF with a MQ v 7 QM ?!
Thanks,
Ranga |

Hi,
the tricky thing about MQ migration is the 32 bit vs. 64 bit binding.
This has changed between MQ 5.3 and MQ 6.x and this is covered by fmczqmig. As this has not been changed betweem MQ 6.x and MQ 7.x it works for MQ 7.x, too. Make sure that you are using the latest MQ service level. |

Thanks for the reply.. 'fmczqmig' did indeed work and successfully migrated the v 7 QM but I am facing another issue...
