Hello,
on z/os ( mq version 6) i have a remote queue called A who have a trasmission queue called B with trigger set to Y . Process associated is to start a channel called C.

For maintenance i have set trigger = N for my trasmission queue B.

It happen that someone start channel C. I was sure messages arrived on queue A was on trasmission queue B. Instead i have seen that trigger for trasmission queue B was set to Y and messages delivered.

Question : Starting channel can alter trigger set of my trasmission queue?

Maybe it happened that, if someone happened to start channel they also happened to change trigger.

Either way, just rerun the test. change the trigger, stop and start the channel, look at the trigger.

There's a vague bell going off in my head that the z/OS channel initiator does this on channel start.

Look in the z/OS docs. I'd look, but the day job is a bit frantic at the moment....

I could of course be wrong. With luck there will be another z/OS person along in a minute.

IIRC (which is uncertain as I've said) it's trying to be helpful.
