Hi Guys,
While I was running a script to create some queues , for a space issue reason , the script fail. So I fixed the issue and try to re-ran the script , it worked fine and created 10 queues except for one of them. It kept giving me the following error:
AMQ8101: WebSphere MQ error (7041) has occurred.
I tried creating manually and I get the same error. so what I did is search the other error "7041" and thats about object exists already. However, when I did display on that queue , it is not there , so finaly I went under /var/mqm/qmgr/queues and found the file exists there. So How do I fix the issue now , I need to create this queue right and be able to see it from the MQ runmqsc session .

Do you have 'REPLACE' in your definitions? Try deleting it manually first.

| I tried deleting it from the command line but no luck , it tells me the queue doesn't exist and when I try to recreate it using REPLACE , I get the same error above. Can I go ahead and delete the queue's file under /var/mqm/qmgrs/queue ,, it has a value of 0 ? |

| the queue's file is what have a value of zero. so it is not a valid file, my question is can this be deleted without affecting the queue manager. This is what is causing my problem here , the queue wasn't fully created thats why I have a file there , but I still can't see the queue when I do a display from the runmqsc. |

Did you look at the error log? What did it say? Was there an FDC created?
There are a variety of reasons why AMQ8101 is issued. Did you search Mr. Google for AMQ8101?
What version, release, modification level of MQ are you running?

If you have fixed the space issue , and you are still not able to create the queue, then check if you have any FDC generated. If no error files or FDCs and you are saying the queue file is with zero size, then I think you should be OK to delete that file .
Take the queue manager down , make sure no processes are still attached to the queue manager , remove the file of that queue , bring the queue manager back up , check the log , re-create the queue.

| Thanks guys, I did what Al listed and was able to re-create the queue with no issue. |
