Hi when I try to start the broker I get an error as

BIP2322E: Database error: SQL State ''08001''; Native Error Code '-30082'; Error Text ''[IBM][CLI Driver] SQL30082N Security processing failed with reason "24" ("USERNAME AND/OR PASSWORD INVALID"). SQLSTATE=08001 ''.
The error has the following diagnostic information: SQL State ''08001'' SQL Native Error Code '-30082' SQL Error Text ''[IBM][CLI Driver] SQL30082N Security processing failed with reason "24" ("USERNAME AND/OR PASSWORD INVALID"). SQLSTATE=08001 ''

So I thought of changing the username/password for the broker database and I did as

mqsisetdbparms BRKNAME -n DBNAME -u DBUser -p password

but when i gave this command I am getting this error

BIP8230W: mqsisetdbparms cannot be used to set a user name and password for the broker data source.
An attempt was made to set a user name and password for the broker ODBC data source name. This is not allowed. You may set user names and passwords only for ODBC data sources other than the broker data source.

Env : Broker on solaris
Brk DB : db2 on solaris

Any help on this. Thanks

For the Broker's DB you need to use mqsichangebroker.

Thanks fjb_saper. its done.

Please correct me if I am wrong here

mqsisetdbparms is used for the dsn connections and if there is any problem like the above with the user data(and the broker database) then this is used. also there are more usage for this.

mqsichangebroker is used for broker databse

But is it possible to change the broker database (mqsichangebroker can be used for the broker database password change)

I think the previous post need to be corrected

mqsisetdbparms is used for the dsn connections and if there is any problem with the user database(and not the broker database like the above) then this is used.
