Hi Folks
Happy New Year!!
We are trying to create a WMQ Cluster for WMQ 6.0.2.5 on AIX 5.3
My queue managers are in a HACMP Cluster on two nodes. I have the Service IPs for all the queue managers.
If i want to do WMQ Clustering now, will it be like doing WMQ clustering on a normal WMQ Set up? Do i have to do anything special, keeping the HACMP setup in mind?
Can Please share your views?
Thanks |

Yes

No. The easiest way to think about it (IMHO) is in 2 distinct steps. 1st, a queue manager under HACMP using the service IP which fails over according to the documentation in the normal way. 2nd, join that queue manager to the WMQ cluster in the normal way. Simple.
The only difference you'll notice (and you might not even see this) are messages building up in the SCTQ while failover is actually taking place. Might cause a few brief delays, but not much and you certainly don't need to take any actions. It'll all sort itself out. _________________ Honesty is the best policy.
