Hi,

I have qmegamon tep console on my machine using which I can see whether queue manager is down/up or curdepth of a particular queue.

But I want to know whether I can perform all the MQ Admin Activities like Starting/Creating Qmgrs or Channels or even browse the mesages in a queue instead of logging each and every server manually.

I am new to this Qmegamon. I know using Qpasa we can perform all these MQ Admin activities from the Qpasa Console but no idea how we do the samething from Qmegamon.

Do we need to have any extra privliges or s/w on our laptop related to Qmegamon.

Appreciate if someone let me know this.

I assume you mean Omegamon?

The omegamon agent requires the qmgr to be started. Once connectivity is fine, you can work with creation/control of all objects and also browse messages. Do note that creation/deletion is done through the config module of omegamon and control through monitoring module.

Omegamon is not the best tool to work with individual messages...take a look at IBM support pacs IH03 and/or MO71.
