I've been asked by management if it is possible for a MQ client to connect to a queue manager that has SSL enabled if the client does not have the SSL key. I don't need nor want information on how to do it if it is possible, I just would like to know if someone that had extensive knowledge of MQ could do it.
The complete question is: Could someone with a MQ client connect to MQ Queue Manager with SSL enabled and read messages off of a queue if the client does not have any of the SSL information.
Thank you for any insight on this. |

Only if a client channel is set up that doesn't have SSL enabled. _________________ Honesty is the best policy.

Did management intend to ask this: "Can we prevent non-SSL clients from accesing SSL-enabled channels to access our queues?" The answer is yes. _________________ I like deadlines. I like to wave as they pass by.

SSL would be a bit pointless if it couldn't. Still, it is a management question..... _________________ Honesty is the best policy.
