Hi All,
I have 4 queue managers in a cluster, two full repositories and two partial repositories. I have defined two cluster queues on the two partial repositories. My application is connected to the primary full repository and is putting messages on the clustered queues defined on the partial repositories. Messages are going to the two partial repositories in a round robin fashion. All of a sudden one of the partial repository went down and I have lost one message and remaining messages came to the other partial repository queue manager's cluster queue. I have checked whether the messages are in the SYSTEM.CLUSTER.TRANSMIT.QUEUE of the sender side queue manager, however the queue depth shows zero and I checked the depth of the sender side queue manager's dead letter queue and its depth is also zero. Where is the lost message? Where can it be? I have read in manuals that the message will reside in the system.cluster.transmit.queue, however, I have one more question. If message is stuck in the transmit queue, channel should be stopped, right? If so next coming messages will not go the other up and running partial repositories. But this happening. May be my doubt is silly, but I am confused with the too much info
Please clarify me... |

The message could be at the destination not yet consumed... so you can only see that when you bring up the crashed qmgr.
The message could be in the channel. Did you check the status of the cluster sender? (retry?) Did you stop it? Did the SCTQ depth go up by one? _________________ MQ & Broker admin |

With the caveat that the message is/was set as persistent. _________________ It's puzzling, I don't think I've ever seen anything quite like this before...and it's hard to soar like an eagle when you're surrounded by turkeys. |
