Which zone(s) is WMQ installed on?

Are the zones you're creating queue managers on sparse?

Are the kernel settings (either direct or inherited) correct on all these zones?

You say you have stacks of RAM available, it is available to all the zones? Are the zones limited on segment or semaphore settings? This overlaps a bit with my question above.

Upgrade to 6.0.2.5, and stop trying to do useful stuff with 6.0.0.0.

You are running out of extshm, not RAM.

Review the Quick Beginnings guide for Solaris to understand the kernel settings you need to make to solve this problem.

I stumbled onto this:

http://hursleyonwmq.wordpress.com/2007/03/02/websphere-mq-with-solaris-zones/

Will work through it with the Sun Admins ... and report back.

If you'd not seen this before, how did you do the install?

Presumably with reference to this:

or this:

If the installation was done without reference to the IBM documentation, I think I've located your problem.....

If you were a consultant, you would probably have charged me for
the fact that you had discovered a problem to which I had a
strikingly similar diagnosis, right?

Take a look at Otto's tag-line - you should have copyrighted! Income from every post

From a previous exchange, where some unfortunate actions had been taken.

I'd hesitate to claim anything I say on this board as intellectual property
