I am trying to use the dspmqrte tool but it doesn't seem to behave as the manual says.

Having a cluster I am trying to trace the route to one clustered queue so I do:

Code:

C:\>dspmqrte -m LOCALQMGR -q CLUSTEREDQUEUE  -rq REPLYQ

AMQ8653: DSPMQRTE command started with options '-m LOCALQMGR -q CLUSTEREDQUEUE  -rq REPLYQ'.

AMQ8659: DSPMQRTE command successfully put a message on queue 'SYSTEM.CLUSTER.TRANSMIT.QUEUE', queue manager 'LOCALQMGR'.

AMQ8674: DSPMQRTE command is now waiting for information to display.

AMQ8666: Queue 'SYSTEM.CLUSTER.TRANSMIT.QUEUE' on queue manager 'LOCALQMGR'.


but then it just waits for the remote "reports", and it seems like the remote MCA is just ignoring the trace message.

Including the "-d yes" option is not helping either, so I am not sure if there is something wrong here...

btw, both qmgrs have activrec and routerec with MSG !
