Hi,

I have a SAP application sending IDOCS. I want to FTP those IDOCS to a MQ Queue from which another application will GET. Is it possible to FTP to a MQSeries QUEUE. If so how can we achieve this.

Thanks
Raj

Well, there are no directly way, for some time ago is was working with a similar solution also interfacing FTP to SAP/R3 using MQSeries.

What we realy was doing was having some scripts(started by CRUN) which searched for files in folders. when a file was found it was read by a program similar to amqsput and data was put into a queue from where the SAP bridge software could take it.

And when we're sending data the other way, we had some queues with trigger on, and when data was put into theses queues it was written to a file and placed in the right folder, ready for FTP. The FTP could be as PUSH or PULL based depending on our need.

I hope it could give you a creative idea

Just my $0.02

If you're happy to use ftp and accept this far less robust method of data transportation then why even bother dropping in on MQ? Just ftp it to the receiver app!
