I guess it has to do with the incorrect permission settings.. check the below link...

I think this is the correct forum.

Ranganathan, What gives you the impression that this is a receiver channel problem?

The user running the SQL script must have proper access to MQ. The Oracle documentation gives a nice overview of how Oracle and MQ security are different. http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/B19306_01/gateways.102/b16215/running.htm#i1019489. Please have a look and let us know if you have follow-up questions.

Ranga,

I thought it was odd that you'd make that comment about the right forum, I should have guessed it had been moved. Sorry!

The poster's question is really not very clear. I think the most typical approach is for Oracle to connect to MQ as a client, but the original question implies (to me) that this is an app on an MQ server. All very murky at this point!

Oracle AQ perhaps?

From what I've read, I believe this is the 10g version of what had been previously called the Oracle Messaging Gateway. And yes, the Oracle AQ is the Oracle subsystem that interacts with the gateway to/from MQ.

I am not an expert on this, by any means, even though I am expounding upon it as though I am!

Then we are of the same stock! I did partake in a proof-of-concept tie up of WMQ to Oracle using Oracle AQ but do not remember which flavour of Oracle (was 10g in existence 2.5 years ago?).

We ran a message gateway for about five years here, on Oracle 8 and then 9. The app that used it has been replaced, so we didn't have to migrate to 10.
