Is the DB2 Runtime Client (RTCL) required to be installed for WMB 6.1 running on AIX if the the broker uses a remote DB2 database (located on a separate AIX system)?

yea or nay?

Yes.

How else would you get the ODBC libraries?
And JDBC drivers for DB2.
