Hi,
I'm planning version upgrade process / steps for broker that runs in AIX HACMP standby-node mode environment. I have searched migration document (WebSphere Message BrokerMigration Version 6 Release 1) and HACMP configuration document (IC91: High Availability for WebSphere Message Broker on Distributed Platforms), but not found exact process / steps how to do this.
Thought by common sense process could be something like this:
1) install new binaries to the both nodes
2) upgrade QM and DB2 if necessary
3) update command environment in both nodes( also odbc configs)
4) stop & backup WMB components on "active" node
5) run mqsimigratecomponents command on "active" node
6) start WMB components on "active" node (verify success of migration from logs & process list)
7) test takeover process (that is that WMB components starts also without probs at the "standby" node after resource group's move to that node)
8) remove unnecessary binaries etc from env.
Have anyone done this yet and is there any shortage(s) in my process?
Do I need to do any "extra" steps at standby node?
