Summary:
This internal team of a major Fortune services to over 300 sites globally with servers located throughout the world. The middleware products are the foundation for message queuing, job scheduling, event monitoring, problem management, change management, and configuration management. The middleware products run on three unique platforms: Windows, HP-UNIX, and z/OS.
Responsibilities:
• Support these middleware products: Tivoli Workload Scheduler (TWS), Websphere MQ and Mercator.
• Consult, innovate, design, and engineer related to the middleware products mentioned above.
• Support other middleware products used: OpenView Operations for Windows (OVOW), OpenView Internet Services (OVIS), and HP Service Desk.
• Consult with IT engineers from other disciplines and work effectively across multiple organizational boundaries.
• Coach and teach team members and outsourced delivery partners
Basic Qualifications:
• A Bachelors degree along with 5 or more years relevant experience, or more than 7 years of applied IT experience
• Working knowledge in one of these middleware products is required: Tivoli Workload Scheduler (TWS), Websphere MQ or Mercator.
• Working knowledge on Windows and UNIX platforms is required.
Preferred Qualifications:
• The experience is preferred to be primarily from a corporate environment.
• Basic working knowledge with z/OS is a plus.
Other:
• Working knowledge on both the Windows and UNIX platforms
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills |
