I am getting the error: java.lang.UnsatisfiedLinkError: no mqjbnd02 (mqjbnd02.dll) in java.library.path

I have installed both WAS Developer (4) and MQ 5.2 for NT/2000 (Server). I have a QMgr, channels and Ques all setup locally.

I have searched *everywhere* on my machine and do not have the file "mqjbnd02.dll". I do have "mqjbnd04.dll" - but no 02.dll. If I try to be sneaky and copy o4 and rename it as 02 it sorta works but when I try to place a message on the que (MQPUT) - it gives me some wierd nosuchfield error (noReadBack).... Can someone either email me the file or tell me where I can locate it to download?? Or give me an explanation on why it's missing (or if I am trying to do something totally stupid...) It was not loaded when I installed either the MQ5.2 for 2000 or the MQ88 Support pack.

Thanks! Marrion (JCaldwell@graco.com)

This has been discussed many times. Just click the "Search" link and type "mqjbnd02" as the search parameter.

I understand that - and I read all those. I just need the file and I cant seem to locate it anywhere online or on my system. Where can I download the file? I just keep downloading stuff with mqjnd04 and not mqjnd02.... Maybe a URL with a download (Win2000) that has the dll in it or an email...

The current version of MA88 for Win2K doesn't have mqjbnd02 in it. I'm guessing either mqjbnd04 deprecates it and somehow your code is still referencing the old verion, or mqjbnd02 ships with the MQSeries product itself. I don't use Win2K MQSeries, so does someone else have the answer to this???

I just reinstalled MQ Server 5.2 and it did not install mqjnd02. If mqjnd04 replaces it - does anyone know how to setup WAS/MQ to reference this new file? It's in the same directory and my classpath is setup for the same directory... ?? Does anyone have the old mqjnd02 sitting around on one of their win2000/nt boxes they could send me? I am getting desperate... I am using the jar files supplied in the new Java Support Pack too...

Ok - Well!

I reimported the jar files from the MA88 file. After starting and stopping everything, I started getting a new error...

A java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError is received for the class javax/resource/ResourceException

At least it was not the dreaded mqjnd02.dll error anymore!

So I went looking for the answer to this new one. I found this answer:

"Obtain the Java JAR file named connector.jar from the Sun Microsystems Java Web site. For details and a link, see www.ibm.com/software/ts/mqseries/support/summary/jvreadme.html. MQSeries SupportPac MA88 dated 28 February 2001 does not include this JAR file, although later releases of this SupportPac do include the necessary classes from the connector.jar file (the actual file is not included or required in the SupportPac)." <http://www-3.ibm.com/software/ts/mqseries/library/manual01/en_US/aqm7aq01/aqm7aq.html>

Well - it is in the new MA88 file - so I just manually added this to my path in my WAS Developer Test Server. I had the folder but this didn't seem to be good enough - it wanted the file.

I restarted everything and crossed my fingers and VIOLA! it worked!

So - it looks like the new 5.2 MQ using the new MA88 pack no longer uses the mqjnd02 file but the new mqjnd04 file. You also need to be using the new jar files from same supportpack and make sure you add the connector.jar file to your path.

Thanks! Marrion
