Hi there,
I was having a problem with my default setup, could not deploy to my broker, it would timeout every time, even if I set the timeout, so I reinstalled Websphere Message Broker, on the recommendations of a colleague.
The problem I'm having now is I can create a configuration manager.
I've created a new QM, "LOCAL"
and a DB for the Broker
mqsicreatedb LOCALDB
then I created the broker successfully
mqsicreatebroker LOCAL_BRKR -i <username> -a <pswd> -q LOCAL -n LOCALDB
but then I try and create the Config mgr
mqsicreateconfigmgr LOCAL_CM -i <username> -a <pswd> a -q LOCAL -n LOCALDB
This is the output I'm getting:
BIP1223I: Attempting to open and migrate DB2 database 'LOCALDB'...
BIP1228I: The Configuration Manager repository has been successfully created.
Error in event log... ReportEvent() failed
BIP8078E: A problem was encountered while attempting to create/delete the Config
uration Manager.
The operation was not completed successfully.
The configuration manager is not created, but I'm not seeing any messages in the event log either. I've searched this site for similar problems but can't find anything, i'm sure I have the username/pswd combination correct, otherwise I wouldn't be able to create the broker.
Any suggestions appreciated, thanks. |

ConfigMgr doesn't need any database parameters on mqsicreateconfigmgr, if you're creating a new ConfigMgr.
These are only used for migrating an existing ConfigMgr.
