Hallo,
I hope someone can help me. First of all, I don't know anything about Global, MQ and filenet. I know (a lot, depends) of VB(A) (Visual Basic for applications - excel, access, ms project). They requested me to make some VBA screens in VBA on the global client side. That's not really a big problem till now. But:
first question:
From the global client I want to call a MQ service for a certain Queue manager/queue to request a document on Filenet. I suppose that there is a certain API/DLL with the function for it. I have a string with different tags like DocumentID. I suppose that in the signature of this function is a parameter where I have to put this string on.
And next how to handle the response message with the document of Filenet.
Maybe I'm asking a lot, but does somebody have a (simple) example with VB code how to implement this? or at least a link where I can find documentation/information.
second question:
From a person I heard that in de reponse message the pdf is captured (base64Binary). I don't know how!
Again, I realize I'm asking a lot but does somebody have a example how to extract the pdf from the response string and to show the pdf document. Or it must be possible with the Shell instruction, then I know it.
I would be very happy if somebody can help me and send me some examples.
Thanks in advance.

You need to spend your time finding this stuff.
You've had enough skills at this to find MQSeries.net in the first place.
Most of your questions can be answered by spending your time reading other postings here, and searching.
Among the things you will find if you do this are a) simple links to the documentation, b) pointers to sample code, c) sample code. _________________ I am *not* the model of the modern major general. |

Ok Jeff,
You can searching better then I, but if I search on VBA then I get a few results. One or two have the same question but not the solution.
On others search query's I get a lot of results but not the ones where I'm searching for.
But I would we very pleased if you can help me.
By the way, parsing the string etc. it's not the problem. It's how the pdf is embedded in the MQ string, and how to extract it from the string, so that I can open it with acrobad reader.
Thanks,

I think you need to take a course on MQ because you do not understand MQ. The data is the message data. Hence, your base64 encoded pdf file is the message data.
