Every 3-4 months, we hit an error of "max number of connections reached". It seems like whenever rfhutil is used to connect to a remote server, the connection is not released when the session is over. We then need to recycle the channel in order to get rid of inactive connections. Any ideas as to why this would be happening? |

rfhutil can't connect to a remote server, rfhutilc does & it's quite good about disconnecting properly. How have you determined this is the cause of the problem, as opposed to another client programme which is failing to disconnect properly? _________________ Honesty is the best policy.

I suspect that rfhutil is not releasing its connection to SYSTEM.ADMIN.SVRCONN after we are done using it. |

Again... rfhutil will not establish any connections to SYSTEM.ADMIN.SVRCONN.
rfhutilc will, and it will release them once you tell it to - either by doing things to disconnect or by quitting. _________________ I am *not* the model of the modern major general. |
