Hi there,

I installed MQ v6 on a Win2003 server. After installation I noticed that the MUSR_MQADMIN user has not been created.

Why would this be? and Can this user be created manually or in some other way?

Thank you,
Gibbs00

Did you install using a domain admin user account?

There are a number of posts in here discussing the pitfalls of installing MQ using a domain account. It's much better/safer/more reliable to install it using a local administrator (which will create, authorise & use the user you mention) and then add the domain admins to the mqm group.

Did you specify a domain service ID in the prepare WebSphere MQ Wizard?

I mean, do you need an MUSR_MQADMIN account, in the setup you have built?
