Has anyone used the command line option in this support pack? I seem to be having classpath difficulties, the ole java class not found.
I'm working off a pretty standard install of WMQ v6.0.2.2 on Windows. The issue seems to be the "d:\Program Files\IBM..." path when setting up the com.ibm.mq.jar path. Seems the space between Program and Files is messing up. I've tried with and without quotes.
Mostly wondering if there were additional setup steps other than the installation path as described in the Readme. Thanks. _________________ Regards, Bob |

Are you using Java 5 or 1.4?
I found that there's something different in the classpath processing with Java 5 - changing the last line of the batch file to
%j%\java -cp "%c%" -Djava.library.path=%o% com.ibm.mq.explorer.events.stats.core.Main %1 %2 %3 %4 %5 %6 %7 %8 %9
seemed to fix it. Maybe there's a better way, but that worked for me. |

It's always been an issue to have spaces on Java classpaths - perhaps they've finally fixed that in 1.5.
I habitually modify my system paths to use shortnames on Windows, or more usually - don't install anything in "Program Files" that I don't have to. _________________ I am *not* the model of the modern major general. |

Thanks for the replies. I am using Java 1.4
Odd about the Program Files behavior. Other than the drive letter, I usually install taking default path. I have other .bat files that define the classpath at runtime; can't figure this one out. thanks again... _________________ Regards, Bob |
