Define what you mean by "Housekeeping" ?

PS I moved this topic to MQ Support as the WBI forum is not appropriate for this question.

As Michael says, can you be more specific about housekeeping? Do you mean, what are things to look at every day, every week, to be sure that the system is OK? Do you mean how to keep your MQ objects consistent across multiple queue managers? Do you mean how to handle old linear logs? How to manage backups?

I guess housekeeping can mean a lot of different things to different people!

Use the dead letter handler supplied with the product.

By definition every message hitting the DLQ needs investigating. Some can be handled automatically (DLQ handler) and some will need mandatory eyeballing...
After having looked at them with whichever tool you like (MO71, etc...) you may want to run a custom DLQ handler to either reprocess or park on some other queue etc...

Have fun
