We run the mqsireportproperties command against our brokers to script a review of the additional instances field after a deployment, to make sure that the deployment worked as expected. We run the command against an execution group specifiying AllMessageFlows, and then parse out what we need.
We encountered a weird situation. In the toolkit, there is a flow running, with additionalInstances of 10. Yet, when we run the mqsireportproperties command, it reports back TWO flows that appear identical in all way's except the UUID and the additionalInstances. One say's that it has 0 additionalInstances, one say's that it has 10
So somehow the broker thinks it has two flows, yet, there is only 1 running.
Why does the mqsireportproperties have multiple versions of a flow down, while there is only the 1 running? And we have this for dozens of flows. In an EG with 30 some flows, we have 20 that are listed twice, usually with the same additionalInstances value, but, not always.
And because they're listed a maximum of only 2 times, it isn't that it is keeping a copy of every flow that was once deployed, because some of these flows have been deployed 10+ times, yet only 2 show up.
Anyone have any ideas on why the "phantom" flows are being reported? |
