We saw slow down in our server with MQ queue manager running. There were lot of FDC files generated by MQ. When I looked into the FDC logs, I found this entry over and over again:
LVLS :- 6.0.1.0
Product Long Name :- WebSphere MQ for Linux (x86 platform)
Probe Id :- XC006001
Component :- xcsFreeMem
Build Date :- Oct 21 2005
CMVC level :- p600-100-051021
Program Name :- amqzmur0
Addressing mode :- 32-bit
ThreadingModel :- PosixThreads
QueueManager :- <queue manager name>
Major Errorcode :- xecS_I_PRIVATE_MEMORY_ERROR
Probe Description :- AMQ6091: An internal WebSphere MQ error has
occurred
Arith1 :- 134642352 8067ab0
Comment1 :- invalid tail tag

At this time, SYSTEM.ADMIN.STATISTICS.QUEUE queue was full. This queue got filled up in the end of August. IBM suggested that this might be a reason for system slow down. I've seen stats queue full issue in another server once. But, didn't see any issues with performance then.

Do you have any thoughts on this?

IBM Support is likely the only group that can tell you what that error means and if it caused the issues you saw.

So if they suggest it could have been caused by S.A.S.Q being full, then take their word for it.

I'm surprised that S.A.S.Q got full, though. Did you have issues with whatever program was supposed to be reading that queue?
