Hi,
I ran RPU yesterday and it updated the Toolkit(V6) with interim fix 9. After the update the toolkit refuses to start.
It gives an eclipse error saying errors have occured. Please see log files in C:\Program.
I am unable to find any relevant log files.
RPU also does not allow rollback of this update.
wmbt -clean and a machine reboot also did not fix the problem.
Any advise will be highly appreciated.
Machine is Win XP/Toolkit is V6.0.2. _________________ Shalabh

on one of our systems as an experiment
Please go back and read the error message again and put it in its entirety in your posting. Help is very difficult to give with only a snippet of the evidence.
I did encounter an error when starting the toolkit for the first time after the upgrade to ifix 8 but my error was something like
"The toolkit encountered a problem. It needs to restart to resolve it"
I clicked yes. The toolkit restarted and then everything worked normally.
There are lots of other issues with 6.0.2 + Ifix 8 that I have run into but those are best suited with a separate posting. I'm still getting my head around some of the changes to the tooling but why has my warning count gone from 22 to 100? I personally hate warnings in code.

When starting the toolkit I get the following
Invalid Workspace Path
The specified path to the workspace:
d:\evo_v0101
does not match the physical location on the filesystem:
D:\evo_v0101
The workspace must be restarted with the current path.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I changed the shortcut to use 'D' instead of 'd' and I didn't get a warning message even though in 'windows' parlance they refer to the same place on the disk/filesystem or is windows going case sensitive like Linux/Unix etc
Is this what you are getting?

Since I am short of time, I could not wait to try and debug the problem. I have already uninstalled the toolkit. Reinstallation is going on.
Anyways my problems were different from yours.
No errors in event viewer but I was able to find a log file that said

AkankshA,

No
did u reinstall to Toolkit V6.0.2. wd interim fix 9 or r u facing the problem wd base level???
Now the problem is with the base level.
Looking at the log files this seems to be a problem with eclipse.
However MQ Explorer is opening.
So probably the eclipse folder under toolkit is the culprit. _________________ Shalabh

I am going to uninstall again, delete the old folder structure and then retry installing it again. _________________ Shalabh

I was unable to delete all files in the old installation location. Have changed installation location. Toolkit opens now. Running updater. Will not go to fixpack 9. _________________ Shalabh
