I wanted to know what is the basic difference between JMS queue and queue defined by MQ . And it would be more appreciable if the difference between JMS and MQ is mentioned.

JMS is a programming standard not a queue system.

MQ is a queue system that supports has it's own API & can act as a JMS provider.

Check out the Using Java manual for more details.
