Dear all,
a customer of ours (MQ V6 client / Linux) is using the MQ File Transfer Application to send us files. This works basically fine, but the RFH-MQFT header is placed in front of the actual message. It is now our receiving application who filters out this header (we are running MQ 5.3 on Sun Solaris).
But still, i'm trying to figure out on how to suppress this header to appear in the message. I did some tests on my PC (MQ-V6), sending files via the FTA to a test-queue on my queue manager: but i just can't get rid of this RFH header... And the 'Targclient' variable seems to be something for JMS applications?
Unlike the IH03/RFHUTIL support pack which offers a great variety of options dealing with headers, the File Transfer Application doesn't seem to offer none? So my basic question is: Is there now way to prevent the RFH header to be put into the message (given above setups)?
Thanks a lot for any help,
Hans |

I don't believe that the MQ FTA was designed to be used for File->Queue or Queue-> File scenarioes, just for File->File scenarios.
And, no, it doesn't look like there is a way to configure whether or not it attaches an RFH header to the message(s). I figure this is because it needs the information in the RFH header when it goes to create the received file. _________________ I am *not* the model of the modern major general. |
