Hi,
I am trying out something very simple. I’m trying to have 2 Queue Managers that are both installed on the same machine communicate with each other (just putting together some sample applications). I am using MQ Explorer (v6) to create the queue managers and the queues. Here is the configuration for the 2 queue managers:
Target:
Name: QM_TARGET
TCP Port: 1416
Local Queue: Q1
Sender Channel (running on QM_SOURCE):
Name: QM_SOURCE.QM_TARGET
Connection Name: localhost(1416) ??Is this correct??
Transmission Queue: QM_TARGET
Receiver Channel (running on QM_TARGET):
Name: QM_SOURCE.QM_TARGET
I cannot successfully start the sender channel. I get a status of RETRYING. A ping on the sender channel gives me 2195 (AMQ4048) error code. What could be going wrong? Is the connection name incorrect? What is the significance of the “local communication address” attribute on the sender channel?
