| Agent Controler on Linux Won't start |

Has anyone experienced problems getting the Agent Controller on Linux to start up after installation?
I have installed as per the instructions. But when I run the RAStart.sh script we gt an error "Configuration file processing failed". Examination of the servicelog.log file indicates that the serviceconfig.xml file is not properly set up. Examination of serviceconfig.xml shows it to be empty. I have the LD_LIBRARY_PATH & PATH set as per the doc, and we have tried running the SetConfig.sh from the AgentControler/bin directory to no avail.
I wouuld be happy to reinstall if I could get an idea of what to do differently so that it will run after the reinstall.
Any clues? |

a tip: Restart the broker and see if it works... |

This used to be a problem with Broker V5.x but I haven't seen it with V6.
You didn't say which version of Broker you are running...
The tip about restarting the broker is not going to make a difference.
The agent controller needs to run if you are going to do some debugging via the toolkit. It runs in its own process and not as part of the broker process(s)
I don't normally do this on Linux so I'll have to check my servers to see if I'm encountering the same problemo.

Thanks for the replies. I got my problem figured out. It was a java version issue when running the SetConfig.sh script for configuring the Agant controller. The documentation says it needs the IBMJava2-142, which I have, but the doc does not say that needs to be referenced during set up.
So anyway, I edited the SetConfig.sh to point to IBMJava2-142/jre/bin/java and that did the trick, the serviceconfig.xml is now populated with worthwhile information and the Agent Controller starts and runs. |
