Hi

Would appreciate help with the following:

I am using MQ with the ma88 SupportPac. Using the JMSAdmin tool with the com.sun.jndi.fscontext.RefFSContextFactory I have bound names to MQ queues. (I'm using the IVT samples)

The IVTRun tool runs successfully (using the JNDI context I have setup with JMSAdmin). ie: the QueueConnectionFactory, Queue etc bound to the names are bound correctly and can send and receive messages.

However, when I attempt to connect from a Java client I get the following error:

javax.jms.JMSException: Unable to retreive the QueueConnectionFactory object from JNDI: ivtQCF

Any ideas?

your problem is most probaly releated to the PROVIDER_URL. that you java client application is refering to. Is it on the same machine ? Is it configure properly ?
