We have used amqmdain to create the channel initiator and the trigger monitor on v5.3 for remote queue managers. Now with v6, the crtchi and crttrm are no longer available.

amqmdain crtchi <qmanager> SYSTEM.CHANNEL.INITQ

amqmdain crttrm <qmanager> SYSTEM.APPLS.INITQ

Is there another command that can be used?

define a service within the queuemanager

look up the commands: DIS SERVICE and DEF SERVICE

You don't need to create the chinit in v6.

If you define a trigger monitor as a WMQ service, it will be run as mqm.
