I have a channel in UAT and Production. The setup is exact similar. I have done both. The channel in UAt does not come up after it goes inactive. It was working perfectly before without any problem. But for a few times, I have seen the sender channel not coming up when message arrives on the xmit queue which triggers the channel from inactive state. It works when I start it.
I checked the triggering attribute, they are fine. When I cheked the log file, the content is as follows:
Quote: |
7/6/2007 18:25:45 - Process(3024.1) User(MUSR_MQADMIN) Program(runmqchl.exe)
AMQ9001: Channel 'XXXXXXX.YYYYYYY' ended normally.
EXPLANATION:
Channel 'XXXXXXX.YYYYYYY' ended normally.
ACTION:
None.

The interesting thing is, with similar configuration, another sender channel to another qmgr, is working fine. I can see the same error log but it comes up when the message arrives on the xmit queue. But this does not.
I could not find anything. Have any one of you had this situation? what could go wrong?
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated
thanks |

What attributes of the channel do you want to see? I checked each and every attribute and look similar in UAT and production.
Channel
Disconnect interval : 6000
I have not used TCP keepalive, heartbit interval, and any other setting at OS level. FYI, the product I am using is MQ for Windows version 6.0.2.0
Is there any other attribute in channel that makes difference/affect in triggering a channel?
Xmitq
I checked attributes in the triggeing page of the the xmit queue :
Trigerring data: name of the channel to be triggered( xxx.yyy in UAT and xxx.zzz in prod)
Initiation queue : SYSTEM.CHANNEL.INTIQ
What else?
It works when I start. |

Hopefully a typo?
How about posting the actual definitions. You saying they are almost exactly (sic) the same isn't proof that they are. We may see something you don't. Help us to help you. |
