Not sure if this is the right place to post this but here goes.

I've started writing some jacl scripts to wrap around the wsadmin interface for WAS.

So far I've created some pretty simple scripts which do things like; list stopped servers; list applications running on a server; find stopped applications. I'd now like to start developing some more advanced scripts.

Does anyone know if theres a wsadmin API reference anywhere? I've had a search on the IBM support website and have found loads of examples but nothing which resembles a basic reference guide.

Thanks.

I think it is not right place.

You can start from examples (mentioned above) and wsadmin help.

Maybe a moderator will move this to the WAS/WPS forum.

Also, you should probably spend a bit of time figuring out the cost of developing and maintaining these scripts yourself, and then the value that they will provide.

And then compare that with the cost of implementing a real monitoring solution, and the value that could provide, like performance history and reporting, real time alerting, etc...

IIRC those scripts were mainly meant for a configuration purpose not a monitoring purpose...
