I am trying to clean up after a successful V6 installation - key is I want to keep it successful and not delete a necessary component. When completing the V6 installation on AIX it created the main directory location /opt/IBM/mqsi/6.0/bin but we still have a main directory that we as a result of the V5 intsall called /usr/opt/mqsi/bin. We did not do anything fancy we pretty much took the defaults on the install - can anyone tell me if the /usr/opt/mqsi/bin directory can be deleted to free up space? I have done a ls -ltr on the directory and nothing seems to have been updated recently but I am a little hesitant to delete the directory.
