Hi ,

One of my application Q's takes a long time to process the message , hence the performance of the system as a whole is being hit , any suggestions of work arounds how i could imporve this situtation.

more information is needed to help you... what have you done sofar? where do you think the performance problem comes from?
are the messages big? persistent? hardware config? any other application running taking away resources?

etc etc...

I have always thought applications were suppose to process the message and not the Q

.If that is the case then the programmer needs to rethink the logic.In that case MQ has nothing to do with it ...isn't it?
