We have VB code running on Windows, connected to a MQSeries server on AIX using MQClient code, and we are seeing slow mqput times of messages that are 300K in size. Is there something we should look at to make this perform better? By slow, I mean > 1 second. _________________ Alan |

How have you ascertained the delay is in MQ? As opposed to the network running the client connection (for example) or slow disc access logging a persistent message (for another example)?
My experience of the client is that it's way faster than that, with larger messages.
There are a large number of posts on the board talking about various tuning strategies. But I'd check it is MQ first. _________________ Honesty is the best policy.

More information:
- Non-persistent messages
- MQSeries server is on AIX, some of our MQSeries clients are on VMWare
- We are planning to attach a sniffer to the network in the near future.
Originally, we had thought it might be due to running on VMWare but it also happens on non-VMWare servers. _________________ Alan |
