Hello,
We recently migrated from MB5 (OS HP-Unix) to MB6 (SUSE Linux). Oracle database is used in case of both MB5 & MB6. We have noticed performance has decreased in MB6/Linux combination. Same piece of code is much more faster in MB5/HP-Unix environment.
Has anyone faced this kind of situation so far. Looking forward for any kind of clue about it.
TIA.

The problem we have here is that you are comparing apples to oranges...
If you were to say that the only thing that changed is the broker version I would hear you loud and clear.
Here you are changing the OS, the file setup and a lot of other stuff that all participates in the performance measures...
So apart from any obvious gotchas on the platform you mentioned (and those who use it might chime in) we have no idea... _________________ MQ & Broker admin |

Plus, maybe Oracle is local in WMB v5 and remote in WMbv6.
The base product in WMB v6 performs signficantly better in than it does in v5.
The user code performs exactly as well as it did before. _________________ I am *not* the model of the modern major general. |

Now that's a big bang implementation!
It could be anything that's changed in the environment that could be causing that. Given your level of change, you'd be better off tracing the problem from first principles rather than looking for differences in the broker IMHO. You could have synergistic changes. _________________ Honesty is the best policy.
