Do you mean more than one message structure in a single message set, or more than one format (TDS, XML, etc) in a single message set?

Clarify your question. It would be particually helpful if you gave a few details on what you're trying to achieve, how you've tried to achieve it and what went wrong when you tried it.

If only so we don't suggest things you've already tried.

You can create one message set that has all three MRM physical formats on it.

You can create multiple instances of each Physical Format - three XML formats, two CWF formats, etc.

You can create multiple message definition files inside a signle message set.

You can create multiple logical messages inside a single message definition file.

Everything that Jeff said is true. You should also be aware that IBM does not recommend putting more than one physical format on a message set. It works OK, but you tend to get a lot of spurious warnings in the task list.
Are you forced to use exactly one message set?

I tried to be very careful about that.

I also tried not to make any recommendations, as that was not the question that was asked.
