Hi MQ Gurus,

We are facing problem regd client connecting to over server in case of failover to secondary server. let me explain brief our system we have 2 production servers and our MQ and MB installations in SAN. The remote clients connecting to our primary server perfectly ok. But when we failover to secondary sever some remote clients on unix and windows platforms not able to connect .

In fact the MQ configuration is in SAN we will mount the file system to secondary server in case of failover.( in both servers users/groups are identical)
Please advice us what might be wrong .
(is there os level entries needed for clients to connect?)

The error in MQ server side as follows

MQ9503: Channel negotiation failed.

EXPLANATION:
Channel 'XXXX.SVRCONN.XXXX' between this machine and the remote machine could
not be established due to a negotiation failure.
ACTION:
Tell the systems administrator, who should attempt to identify the cause of the
channel failure using problem determination techniques. For example, look for
FFST files, and examine the error logs on the local and remote systems where
there may be messages explaining the cause of failure. More information may be
obtained by repeating the operation with tracing enabled.

AMQ9207: The data received from host 'XXXXX' is not valid.

EXPLANATION:
Incorrect data format received from host 'xxx' over TCP/IP. It
may
be that an unknown host is attempting to send data. An FFST file has been
generated containing the invalid data received.
ACTION:
Tell the systems administrator

Error in remote client side as follows .

AMQ9541: CCSID supplied for data conversion not supported.

EXPLANATION:
The program ended because, either the source CCSID '819' or the target CCSID
'1051' is not valid, or is not currently supported.
ACTION:
Correct the CCSID that is not valid, or ensure that the requested CCSID can be
supported.

Durga Prasad
