Hi there.
Using DTXPlugIn to handle WTX maps, on failed messages there's no info in any log.
Can see something with traces, but not the regular level of details we are used in WMB.
Any experience on this? _________________ Warm Regards,

I just started learning (and struggling against) WTXMB, but in my experience so far, a WTX map has a trace switch and you can enable this in the Map Designer. (The trace file name is 'Mapname.mtr/log', if I remember correctly.)
Although the error handling between WTXMB and WMB is still black-box, I think we might need to build in an error information indicating what happened during the WTX mapping process into the return message to the message flow, especially the case of data error apart from Failure/Out terminal filtering in the flow.
Anyhow lack of information is a problem.
Hope it helps. |

Thanks JYama.
Yes, it helped me, but I'll preserve this information for posterity as I just realized I'm missing some stuff (like type trees, command server).
And, should I say, you're definitively right about this:

Right, but be careful about the cost.
Command server, a bundled item of WTX Launcher, requires additional money.
If you just want to invoke a WTX map from a message flow, you only need WTXMB and WTX Studios(GUIs). (I don't think you need WTX Command server (Launcher)).
Good luck. |

Well, this is out of my hands - it's a customer project.
Anyhow they had Mercator/DataStage before and as they are "migrating", for now they just want to reuse all the stuffs they already have. _________________ Warm Regards,
