My site is using MQ as transmission mechanism and MQSI as the
ESB hub. The hub needs to support multiple protocals and chinese
characters. I was given the following task. anyone know the answer??
Investigate the impact of supporting multiple protocol in consideration of Chinese characters.

Yes thanks!
More seriously, if by multiple protocols you mean TCP/IP and others you need to look up channel definitions where such things are controlled. If instead you mean WSDL, EDIFACT, etc then the broker documentation is your first point of call.
As to Chinese characters, you'll need to get embroiled in the CCSID settings for your queue managers and the subject of message conversion (messages formatted as strings for instance).I've personally never done it with Chinese but it does work.
A search of the forum will reveal a number of discussions on the subject. Like I said it does work but can be a little fiddly. _________________ Honesty is the best policy.
