Hi,
Playing around with WBIMB 6.0 shared variables. The example provided uses a variable of datatype ROW to hold the lookup table values from the database.
I was just wondering about the size of this table. The number of records returned by the select query could be anything ... maybe 50 or maybe 5000 or rather 500000. Can the ESQL variable hold such a large amount of data? It may get overflowed ... and if it does then how would it behave / how would a person know dynamically ... (from trace logs???)
So what would be the maximum length / size / capacity of a variable of type ROW? I would also be interested to learn about the max capacity of a CHARACTER variable. Also it would be helpful to understand how to detect such memory overflows (both v5.0 & 6.0).
