Has anyone had the problem of loosing objects (queues and processes) unknowingly? We can not find what causes this to happen. Nothing in the log files that can tell us easily.
Our environment is Windows 2000 server with MQSeries 5.2 and MQSI version 2.0.1.
Any help is very much appreciated.
Thanks,

Well we havent had any issues. curious how come you are not using a newer version of MQSI at 2.02 ????
Are the system queues or application queues ??? Anyone virus scan the machine. _________________ Jeff

Jeff,
Thanks for a quick response.
These are application queues and processes. The server is maintained by our Operation personnel which does virus scan and check regularly.
We are not using MQSI 2.0.2 yet. it takes a little time for us to upgrade software. It's in the plan, though.
Thanks.

Sam,
I don't think this is a MQSI problem. Are you guys dealing with PCF messages on this queue manager? _________________ Kiran

No, we are not using PCF msg.
MQSI out put node puts msgs in the queue, we then use mostly VB6.0 program to get msgs using MQAX cals.
This problem just happened (we just found out) very recently, less than a month or so. We have had this application running for a while now (at least six months). |

Jeff,
Additionally, we use MQ trigger to process the messages. |

Well you are not doing anything that would be consider outside the normal
stuff for MQSeries. Are you running trusted bindings on any of your apps
including channels ?? If yes I would disable them temp.
Are you using any configuration management software like MQControl
QPasa or Candle to creat Queue Configurations, if so maybe someone is
changing config without realizing it. _________________ Jeff

Trust binding? Probably not. I am not sure at the moment what it means.
We do use Candle to manage MQs. There are 3 of us (that I know of) that manage MQ using Candle. |

Well how about fastpath channels ?? Any way I would stop using Candle to manage queues/channels configuration and see if your problem goes away, I had lot's of issues with Candle Queue Configuration, but that was 2 years ago and knowing candle they probaly had release at least 8-10
software releases since then. _________________ Jeff
