A Fix Pack is one step below a Refresh Pack and one order of magnitude below it in the version numbering scheme. So...

6.0.0.0 ---> Initial Release
6.0.1.2 ---> The last Fix Pack
6.0.2.0 ---> This release is a actually Refresh Pack
6.0.2.1 ---> The next Fix Pack

If we stick to our habits of calling them Fix Pack 1, Fix Pack 2, etc. then the numbers won't make any sense. As you can see, if we do that then the next Fix Pack will be "Fix Pack 1" again.

The recommendation would be to use the full version number and release name going forward. IBM has posted complete details at: Maintenance Strategy for WebSphere MQ V6.0 and WebSphere Message Broker, Event Broker and Message Broker with Rules and Formatter Extension V6.0

Not trying to be pedantic but I've already seen a few clients who back-leveled their QMgrs thinking they were upgrading.
