Hi,
I am installing MqSeries 5.1 on Windows 2003 and the installation went fine(Scary I am still forced to use v5.1). I created a new Q manager and was sucessful too. Once I finished creating the Q manager and when I click on it thru the MMC I get the following error
IBM MQSeries
---------------------------
Unknown object name. (AMQ4049)
---------------------------
OK
Any ideas or suggestion. Please help.

5.1 has been out of support for so long that I doubt that it ever ran on Windows 2003. You need to move forward....
However, my guess is that you are missing a queue..... |

Casting my mind back, I seem to remember there was a script you needed to run after the queue manager was created; I think it created default objects and models.
But 5.1? I thought I had trouble! There can be no good reason for running something that old, only a management reason.... 
You so need to upgrade. For so many reasons.
