Is there any way where we can set the Number of Initial Exec Servers on the WF Runtime Server(AIX) instead of setting it in Buildtime and importing it again? _________________ Regards & Thanks,

Sorry John,
But I am not able to find any option where we can alter the existing setting of Initial Execution Server Instances. I am only able to query and get the information of all the servers but not change it. I am using "fmcautil" to query the servers. _________________ Regards & Thanks,

Perhaps I don't understand the question.
Do you want to increase the number of execution servers? Option me+ will do that.
Maybe you want to change the value for the Initial number of servers that start. IF that is what you want to do you must import FDL with the new number of initial servers, and then restart your system. _________________ John McDonald

Yes you got my right this time. I want to change the initial number of execution server instance when the server starts. And I was trying to explore whether there was anyway apart from Buildtime where we can try?
How about at the database level? Can we do it? _________________ Regards & Thanks,

Modifying the database would be highly discouraged.
Use Buildtime and then import the updated FDL.
OR if you REALLY don't want to do that, use a text editor to modify the FDL by hand (also discouraged).
In any case no matter which of these 3 methods you used, you would need to restart MQWF, so why would you risk doing it any other way than the officially sanctioned way (i.e Buildtime/Import) _________________ John McDonald
