Hi all,
I lost the amqhlctl.lfh file from my QMGR. How I create this file again? I have QMGR with LogType=LINEAR.

Thanks Martin

Stop your Queue Manager. Well not really needed as you can't start it.

Create a new one, different name, with the same Log options as the original. Stop this one, cleanly. Copy the relevent lfh and log files from the new to the old. Restart the old. Delete the new.

...after it I moved S0000000.LOG,S0000001.LOG, S0000002.LOG and amqhlctl.lfh from TEMP QMGR to my original QMGR and start again. The QMGR running now. Is it recommended procedure?

You may also need to copy /var/mqm/qmgrs/TEMP/amqalchk.fil to /var/mqm/qmgrs/<ORIGINAL QMGR>/amqalchk.fil

What you have quoted above (plus my addition) is what IBM refers to as the "cold start" procedure for UNIX queue managers. It should always be a last resort procedure and not used unless there is no other way to get the queue manager up. The times I have had to use it have been when the /var/mqm/log filesystem has filled up and/or log files have been somehow corrupted.
