Hi
is there any way to change channel conname when q-manager is down ??
I need do that change , but I cant start q-manager. When q-manager is down I can use runmqsc

No.
Channel configuration should have nothing to do with preventing you from starting the queue manager.

yes , but in transmision queue are messages , and I don't want to send them to destination qmgr wich IP addres is specified in conname. Copy of remote qmgr was placed on different machine , and I want to send those messages to new place. When I start qmge channels automaticaly starts up and messages will flow via channel. So I wonder if there is any method to do changes whithout start q-manager ( maby is some way to edid q-manager files or something like that) |

What version and what platform?
Could you not just start the queue manager and leave the channel agent down?
If the channel doesn't get started the transmission queue will be left alone. Stop the channel at the other end |

it is Solaris and MQ 5.3 csd10
I stopped channel on other side , started qmgr and changed conname , but only for curiosity I want know if such change is possible when qmmgr is down. |
