The file that is generated by saveqmgr has the channels as one of the last things in the file. I'm curious if that causes any problems with previous objects having cluster definitions long before the cluster is 'known'.
Restated my question is:
When a QM joins a cluster, does it publish the information for objects that were already marked in the cluster?
Example:
define qlocal(Q1) cluster(A)
define channel(TO.ME) chltype(CLUSRCVR) CONNAME(somewhere) CLUSTER(A)
define channel(TO.THEM) chltype(CLUSSDR) CONNAME(somewhere) CLUSTER(A)
At this point, I'm assuming that A is also published when the repository is informed of this QM. Is that correct?

Somebody correct me if I am wrong...
I believe that the local information gets put first into the local cluster repository.
The information in the local repository gets then sent when you create/start the cluster sender to the cluster repository... _________________ MQ & Broker admin |

Yes...
And regardless, there's no validation on the CLUSTER or CLUSNL parameters, other than length and characters....
So even if there isn't a CLUSTER anywhere named "BOB", I can share a queue in the "BOB" cluster. _________________ I am *not* the model of the modern major general. |
