The U.S. Government has passed a law (Energy Policy Act) which alters the Daylight Saving Time (DST) start and stop dates by four weeks. Extended Daylight Saving Time for the U.S. will begin in March of 2007.
An issue has been identified with the V5 and V6 Broker products. Any customers with MRM wire format defined with a time zone at msg set level other than "Use Broker Locale" and who have the "Daylight Saving Time" box checked will require a WebSphere Message Broker fixpack. See deliveries below.
WebSphere MQ Integrator and WebSphere MQ Integrator Broker V2.1 reaches End Of Service on September 30 2006
JVM
For the JRE embedded within WebSphere Message Brokers, a JRE Service Release upgrade is required. See deliveries below.
So what I understand that for MRM if MRM Broker Locale and Day Light Saving uncked in WMB then this patch will not require. Also if we do not use Java Compute Node then also this patch is not required. I am just trying to understand how broker uses jre. jre is just for java node or for anything else. Basicall do we need to install this patch and if we install what will be its impact
